Routine Appointments are now available outside of our usual opening times
We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer additional routine appointments with a GP or Practice Nurse in the evenings, at weekends and on bank holidays at Eastleigh Southern Parishes (ESP) Hub.
We are working together with local practices (Blackthorn Health Centre, Bursledon Surgery, Hedge End Medical Centre, St Lukes & Botley Surgery and West End Surgery) under the umbrella of Eastleigh Southern Parishes (ESP) Network Ltd., funded through West Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to offer Extended Access appointments to allow patients who find it hard to access their GP during core hours.
The service is by appointment only and can only be booked directly through your GP practice.
Currently the appointments are between 6.30pm and 8.30pm Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm on Saturdays, and between 9am and 1pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
All the appointments are provided at Hedge End Medical Centre, 24-28 Lower Northam Road, Hedge End, Southampton, SO30 4FQ.
We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.
Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and what the practice offers is always heading in the same direction.
There is easy access for the disabled to the surgery from the surgery car park, with consulting rooms and toilets on the ground floor.
There is a lift to the first floor.
