We are delighted to announce that after consultation with patients, staff, stakeholders and commissioners, Blackthorn Health Centre and Hedge End Medical Centre have now merged into one organisation. The new organisation will be known as Hamble Valley Health (HVH).

There will be very few visible changes for patients initially, and they will still access their care through their own practice. Behind the scenes though, we will be integrating our structure and processes in preparation for an IT merge in April 2025.

We are working on a new website for Hamble Valley Health, and will also merge our Facebook pages into a new one for Hamble Valley Health.

We will continue to engage with our Patient Participation Group, and communicate more about how we will work in the future.
